A picture worth a thousand words.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words and this picture is the perfect example of that.

Silvano Valencia is a student at our Greenfield Ca. EPIC de Cesar Chavez High School. He is striving to reach the goal of obtaining a high school diploma and participate in a memorable graduation ceremony.

His teacher Mr. Donald Gibbs shared this story with us.

"Silvano who works in the fields came into my class right after work after enduring a long day of work. We were doing vocabulary. The students see the word in Spanish, then write the word in English. Unfortunately, the student did not have paper, so he wrote his vocabulary words on his hand. Of course, I was impressed with his efforts to reach that goal of obtaining his high school diploma no matter what, and I had to take a picture and share it. We gave him plenty of paper to continue his work."

This picture is a sign and symbol of how hard our EPIC students work, how dedicated they are and how much a high school diploma means to them. Si Se Puede!
